Quick announcement for past and future clients…
As of December 2013 I will be taking a break from weddings. We’ve prayed a lot about this decision and, to be honest, I’m not sure where this break from photography will lead me. I don’t really have a game plan. Which is scary…and kind of awesome…
If you are a past client, PLEASE make a copy of your files. If you haven’t done so (and happen to have lost prints or CD’s) then you can purchase additional copies up until December 30, 2013. After that time I’ll be going through and removing galleries. I will be shooting weddings up until March so if you have a last minute wedding between now and then I’d be happy to talk with you about shooting it!
From back in the beginning when I was still shooting weddings on film to my clients with the studio…to clients all the way up until now…THANK YOU. I’ve worked my way into your homes and I’ve loved seeing your kids grow up and your lives being joined in marriage. I may go back to photography in a few years after I’ve had some time off and am able to relax a bit. I’ll still be shooting for dear friends and family members for free but not taking on any more regular clients. For close friends and family members, please don’t hesitate to ask because I will always photograph important events for you. This has always been my gift to you. I’m terrible at remembering birthdays or sending mail on time or even getting baby gifts to you before your kid is 2 but I DO love to photograph your families.
If you have any questions about the changes, feel free to email me at email@example.com. Thanks everyone! Love to you!
Tori & Destin have big hearts…big, HUGE. A dear family member went into the hospital right before their wedding day and they decided to take a chunk of time before the ceremony to go visit her. Lots of tears were flowing as she got to see them in their wedding attire and became a part of the day. Seriously fabulous. Love to you, T & D…here’s a sneak peek for you (and a peek at Victoria’s bridals as well)!
I grew up with Sabrina’s family and that little girl has turned into a vivacious, hilarious, spirited young woman. We had such a great time with Sabrina & David during their stormy wedding weekend in New Harmony, Indiana. Tornadoes and downpours aren’t exactly what you hope for on your big day but Sabrina was positive that the rain would stop in time for her wedding. And, sure enough, right before she walked down the isle the storms let up and it was a gorgeous ceremony. Pretty sure she’s the luckiest bride ever. A big thanks to Jonna Nixon for being my second shooter (the two images from the boys at the bar are from her) and fabulous road trip buddy.
Jason and I met during college and I was thrilled when he and Mary asked me to shoot their wedding. This weekend we enjoyed a lovely relaxed day in Chicago, with a handful of family members and friends, where they had a quick ceremony at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond and then dinner at Ruxbin. Hands down the most amazing wedding reception food I’ve ever had. *drool* I just drank in their quiet moments mixed with loud laughter….the BEST.
Mary & Bragg, we adore you guys. Thank you so much for having us up to Chicago!
It’s always a HUGE compliment when another photographer refers clients over (especially when they’re family members) because they trust my art. Collin & Whitney have a laid back, romantic-embrace type of love that I just adore and I had a great time wandering around Little Rock, Arkansas with them! Only a few more weeks to go until their big day!
